Gear Angel

A platform that connects Scouts with limited resources to more fortunate Scouts who can donate gently used gear, making outdoor activities more accessible and inclusive.

Python Flask HTML/CSS
Live Code

Many Scouts lack access to essential outdoor gear due to cost barriers, while usable gear often goes unused by others, creating an access gap that limits participation and inclusion.

A centralized donation platform that connects Scouts who have extra gear with those who need it, enabling safe, organized reuse of equipment and improving access to Scouting opportunities.

  • Centralized gear information into one easy-to-use platform.
  • Made finding, comparing, and organizing gear faster and more efficient.
  • Connected donors and Scouts in need by making it easy to list, find, and request used gear in one place.
  • Built and deployed a full-stack Flask + MySQL app with secure authentication, image uploads, and a request/notification workflow.

Wildfire-Risk-Dashboard

Built a Wildfire Risk Dashboard that analyzes weather and environmental data to generate clear, actionable wildfire risk scores and visualizations, helping users better understand and prepare for fire danger.

Python Pandas HTML/CSS
Live Code

It addressed the problem of fragmented and hard-to-interpret wildfire data by consolidating weather and environmental inputs into a single, easy-to-understand risk score and visual dashboard that supports faster awareness and preparedness decisions.

The Wildfire Risk Dashboard automatically pulls weather data (or CSV), cleans it, builds features (like rolling rainfall and humidity trends), and outputs an interpretable risk score with charts and a shareable report so users can make faster preparedness decisions.

  • Produced a clear wildfire risk score that simplifies complex weather data.
  • Increased awareness by highlighting high-risk conditions early.
  • The dashboard generates a clear daily wildfire risk score (0–100) with Low/Medium/High labels and shareable outputs so users can quickly understand local risk.
  • I learned how to build an end-to-end data pipeline (ingest → clean → feature engineering → model/scoring → visualization/report) and make the results interpretable and reliable.
